I am a
syndicated newspaper columnist, online publisher, author, mother, wife and Net surfer supreme (not listed
in order of importance, of course). My weekly newspaper column Surfing the Net with Kids is syndicated nationally. My websites get more than 600,000 visitors a month, my newsletter lists are over 80,000 strong, and my self-published e-books are sold on dozens of sites. In my years on the Net, I've learned quite a bit about online publishing, creating and selling e-books, publishing newsletters, being an affiliate, setting up an affiliate program and syndication. I've been a featured speaker on the topic of newsletter revenue sources at ContentBiz's 2002 Email Newsletter Publisher's Profit Workshop, on the topic of syndication for Speaker Net News, and on the topic of online traffic generation for the Glazer-Kennedy 2004 Infomation Marketing Summit. I have been a computer nerd for over thirty years, with a B.S. Cum Laude in Information & Computer Science from the University of California, Irvine, 1976. I've been a programmer, computer consultant, newsletter publisher, and shareware author. Since becoming a mom, involving my kids in my love of computers has spurred my interest in children's use of the Internet. Because I am often asked for advice and recommendations that don't have anything to do with "Surfing the Net with Kids" per se, but rather are about my experiences in running that business, I've created this site as a compendium of resources and recommendations. See ya on the Net! Author "How to Add Games to Your Site" Email Me
